Tagged!

I was tagged in Facebook but I think this is an interesting one. So I'm doing it here and tagging some friends here ^^

Rules: Once you’ve been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end, choose 25 people to be tagged. You have to tag the person who tagged you. If I tagged you, it’s because I want to know more about you!

Here's my 25 random facts!

1. I'm no more than 5 feet tall.

2. I was totally in love with Japan for about 5 years but I've healed from being a fanatic. Now, I like Japan.

3. I have a bonsai I treasure a lot. I cared for him since he was a seed. I named him Moo Moo Mitsu. (Yes, it's a HE. Lol.)

Photo taken by Leon.

4. I love receiving letters! I know, emails are easier and faster but I can't help thinking letters are more romantic and fun :)

5. I think being able to speak, write and understand lots of languages is cool.

6. I envy people who can talk to strangers just like that.

7. I'm a bad dancer but heck, I love to dance.

8. I don't really like to watch historical movies because they make me want to turn back time and experience the situation myself. They make me jealous of ancient times.

9. I don't watch horror movies. Call me a scary cat, but yes.

10. I get emotional whenever I watch clips on environment destruction. For example, music video of What About Now (by Chris Daughtry) and What I've Done (by Linkin Park).

11. I have imbalance eyes and feet.

12. I get sunburn easily, which is why I have lots of sun lotions.

13. I want to live in a big city, a metropolis (London! New York! Tokyo!), one day in the future.

14. I love tea! Milk tea, teh tarik, nai cha, teah, whatever you name it.

15. I'm 19 this year and I never had a mouthful of alcohol (per time).

16. I smoked once when I was 11.

17. I don't enjoy hanging on the phone for long.

18. I was a sportsman back in high school and I'm proud of it.

19. I don't drink milk.

20. I got my first Manchester United jersey on my 9th birthday. It was from both my brothers.

21. I'll never confess even if I like someone.

22. I like cartoon milk cows (you know, white cows with black spots. Not the whole brown type). In fact, my bed sheet, pillow covers, bolster covers and comforters are all milk cows.

23. I have very 'wide' imagination (I wouldn't say wild imagination).

24. I've been single through out my 19 years of life.

25. I'm an early bird.

As for tagging, I'm supposed to tag 25 people but I think that's a little too many. So, names I'll mention, please do this tag ok? I would really want to know more about you guys. If you do not have a blog, do it in your Facebook. Just drop a comment on where you'll post it, okay?

Here goes : Ah Wei, Guat Shan, Sito, Shiau Ping, Poh Yee, Li Yi, Zelene, Jing Jing, Diditoh, Xian Fu, Kenji, Eric, Jun Hong, Edwin Loo, Jeanette, Eugene Loo, Elishia Loo, Ei Leen, Emel.

That's all I can think of now. For everyone else who wants to do this, feel free!

Have fun! :D

So Much For A CNY Break

I'm on my Chinese New Year one-week break now.

Everyone celebrated until late on Thursday night
and slept during break on Friday class.

A CNY break = help around in house, get some new and nice clothes, buy more new shoes, make plans with friends, visitings, receive ang pows, eat ba kua, peel Mandarin oranges, play with cousins, nieces and nephews, light firecracker, attend family reunion, all without feeling 'heavy hearted'.

Or at least, that's how it should be.

This year, my CNY break = Reports. Assignments. Tutorials. Tests.

A simple list of what I'm burdened with this break

1. English assignment 1.
2. Lab report.
3. Pengajian Malaysia assignment draft.
4. English assignment 2 draft.
5. Study for Properties of Matter (Thermodynamics) pop quiz.
6. Study for Biodiversity and Concepts of Ecology quiz.
7. Do Ancillary Statistic tutorial.

THERMODYNAMICS!! *gasp*

7 things to do for a 7 days break. Though the last 3 can be procastinated (Lol). But wait.. Thermodynamics? I think I can already predict my result. Since week 1, I've never understood what was taught.

Yeah, I think I'll enjoy my break.

Year 1 Sem 2 Week 1

I've started my first week of my second sem in year 1 on Monday, 12th January. Basically, there's nothing really but Guat Shan kept asking me to update my blog so I guess I could use a little of what happened in my first week.

First picture in sem 2 ^^

Before this, in sem 1, we never use the lecture hall (called DK) except for the subject Political Science and even when we used that hall, it was a small one. But now, almost all our lectures are in big DKs (DK that could easily fit 200 students) since large groups of students are involved. There are students from first sem and some from other courses, not just my course.

DDK1. I was bored =.=

Though it's only the first week, I (and Guat Shan as well) already felt the pre-stress. Assignment groups are already formed and questions are already distributed. Reports and tutorials are on their way to us, not to mention, I'll have my Biodiversity and Ecology test on week 4, which is the week after Chinese New Year. So am I supposed to study at home during my one week break when all others are having fun visiting their friends and family? *sigh*

Kampar is getting into CNY mood already.

On clubs and society, my Sports Fishing Club secretary resigned due to her own reasons which means I, her assistant will have to take over her jobs. Luckily, she organized everything really well and made it easy for me to take over although there's nothing to do yet. Lol.

My other society, the Photography Society is running active. I was made the chairman for the fund raising event which will be held on the first week of February. I came out with an idea and let's hope it'll turn out great. I can't tell what it is yet but I sure will update when the time comes :) Thank God I have Guat Shan and Ah Jin to help me out. Thanks a lot you two! :D

Moving on, there was a blood donation campaign held in my univeristy last Monday and lasted till yesterday, Firday. Shiau Ping, Guat Shan and I were very eager to donate our blood but unfortunately, though expected, I couldn't contribute to the country (Lol!) since I'm underweight and I have low blood pressure.

Fuhyoh! Tokoh-tokoh negara!

Yea, everyone was proud to donate their blood.

On matters outside univerity, the ex-TE1 students will be having a BBQ gathering tonight and I'm in charge of making sushi. Since I'll be busy this noon, might as well update now. I haven't done anything kitchen related for more than 3 months. I'm sure my culinary skills have rusted.

Ta-da! They were hand-made. Seriously.

Leon came over to visit us and he's currently sleeping while I'm typing and Guat Shan and Sito attending their classes while Shiau Ping watching the TV. I woke up early today at 8 a.m. and went jogging. It was pretty fun. The weather was chilly and the morning in Kampar is absolutely beautiful. Such a waste I forgot my camera when I went jogging. Somehow when I got back from the 20 minutes jog, my tighs got red for reasons unknown but they're okay now albeit a little ichy.

Ex Mr. Horne.

So, that's all for week 1. Manchester United will be playing against Bolton tonight and if they win, we'll be on top!

Edit : Man. Utd. is now top of the table!! :D

GBSK is 20!

She is officially old yesterday. Yes, old age starts when your age no longer starts with 1- but 2-.

My new pose :D

Sito wasn't in the picture because she was taking picture with her SLR and BK wanted a picture of himself with Guat Shan. Also, my special thanks to BK for pakat-ing with us or else it wouldn't be a surprise for Ms. old lady GBSK.

Happy Birthday, Guat Shan!

P/s : I've changed the Mercy to Our Planet Earth picture ^^

2009 Has Arrive!

For the first time in my 19 years of life, I welcomed year 2009 with style grandly. I went for a public countdown!

I used to think that count down was nothing special and in fact, kind of illogical of how people spray artificial snow at each other, run around and chase each other.

The devils!

Until yesterday, I went to Bukit Bintang for countdown along with Guat Shan, BK, my sis, Ms. Lam, Kenji, Khai Chiah, Ah Kong, Wei Chyi and Ah Ken. I still think it's a little illogical but I think I know why now. It's fun, in a way.

The army!

People who you don't know, you never met before, will 'attack' you and 'wish' you new year. It was a good thing we went in a big group- we have a good number of soldiers to 'counter attack'. Lol.

2008, overall, was a good year for me. I'm still not used to the fact that it is already 2009. A new year means I'm a year older but I think (and I'm sure everyone else does) I'm still very childish. I need to grow up ^^;

Can you see the 'snow'?

My new year resolution? Well, I never thought of it. So, now I'm going to randomly come up with resolutions which first appear in my mind.

1. Better grades for my studies (better still, get a scholarship).
2. Grow taller or at least look taller XD
3. Lose some weight.
4. Good relationship with everyone, friends and family.
5. Find new interest!
6. Visit more places.
7. Reduce environmental pollution (like advice someone if s/he attempt to throw rubbish out of the car window. So, I'm advising you now. Don't throw anything out of your car window and throw rubbish only into rubbish bins, not drains.)
8. Money!

Okay. I think I'll stop there. Have a great year ahead!

P/s : I hope Manchester United wins EPL again this season.
