New Phone- Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc

I've always been a Sony Ericsson fan. I think they produce the best phone for me. Before this, I've experienced with some phones, from Sony Ericsson and non. I used to buy cheap phone with basic functions because I thought I don't need them. I just need to call and send messages. Now, I think I have a phone opposite to what I used to have. I own a phone with one of the best functions.

To start off with, this phone has a 8 mega pixel high definition camera. The qualilty of photos taken are, therefore impeccable. The lack of camera features is just a minor drawback since lots of photo/camera related applications can be easily downloaded to this Android 2.3 operating system.

An example of photo taken with the phone camera.

The 4.2" wide screen came in handy with this touch screen phone. Navigating through the applications, browsing the web and playing games are so easy. Although the screen is wide, this phones is not at all bulky. In fact, the Xperia Arc is one of the slimmest phone in the market today.

There are a lot specs I can write about but you can probably get them from the webs. I would certainly say for RM 1700, the Xperia Arc is no doubt, a fantastic phone. In fact, I honestly think this phone is comparable to an iPhone. Special thanks to my brother, whom got this phone for me :D

Oh yea, this update is fully performed using my new phone.

Touched

For the lack of updates, you can definitely guess it's (as always) because of my schedule. I'm in my final year final sem which explains everything. I'll be graduating very soon and some of my senior friends have already graduated.

When I came back from class just tens of minutes ago, I logged in to my Facebook account and the notification said that I was tagged in a post. I clicked it, got linked to Chee Choon's blog and read a post which touched me.

Chee Choon is my Photography Society's chairman since I was in Foundation. He's a really talented photographer and what makes him more special and memorable to me is that he's humble and not selfish. To me, it's like his passion for photography is so deep that he's like a pastor, travel to preach about his teachings. Of course, we're not talking about religion here.

He's the type of guy so ideal that you're dying to find a flaw in him but that one flaw is hidden so deep that only his intimates knew it. I just can't tell you how much or how ideal he is. He came to  my place once before he graduated and told Sito and I about his dreams. I hope he'll achieve it one day, I really do :) There was once when I visited Penang with my family members, he was so helpful that he told every interesting spots in Penang, where to eat good food, the directions and special events that time. At night, he offered to fetch me around Penang island on his motorcycle. A very simple action but means a lot to me and always appreciated.

Here's the link to his blog post about Photography Society members he worked with. It really touched me that he remembered event the smallest detail I told him years back. It made me feel appreciated and it's the kind of feeling that will put a smile on my face for the whole day and every time I read back.

Mr. President's touching blog post.

Thank you so much, Mr. President.. for everything and anything.

Flat Tyre

I woke up this morning, all prepared to go to lab. I went into my car, start the engine, warm it up and put my gear on Reverse. I put my hand brake down and weird, how come my car did not reverse like it usually does? I step on the accelerator a little and found the car not moving still.

I went down and check on my tyres. Great. I have a punctured front right tire. First thing I did was... guess what? Update Facebook. Lol. Then I text messaged several friends and then got Jo to fetch me to uni. Thanks, Jo!

About 5 p.m., I left my lab to get my tire fixed. In order to fix my tyre, I need to change the tire first, right? So, Wei Khiang, Prince and Edwin followed me home to help.

It was kind of an easy process, I think but it certainly need strength! We had such difficult time trying to loosen the nuts. After about 45 minutes, we finally managed to change my tire and then we went to a nearby mechanic to patch my tyre and changed it back. It took less than 3 minutes as opposed to the 45 minutes that we took and cost only RM 5.

Well, this is man-power versus technology, as what Prince said. But hey, they got free dinner after that. Lol.

Thanks so much, you guys!

Revelation

I'm back in Klang for my second brother. He'll be back for 3 weeks. Earlier during dinner, as we were eating, my brother saw a photo of Prince and I in my purse. Then, he took my purse and showed it to his girlfriend (Donna) and said, "See? Small kids.. Didn't date before. Put photo in purse all."

Then I quickly rebutted, "He's my housemate."

Okay, so my brother knew about it. He said to Donna, in a way to shoot me, "Lame la.. She has a boyfriend but she put picture of other guy in her purse."

Seeing the warning light blinking, I quickly changed the topic to something else, silently hoping the conversation was only between the three of us, and deaf to my parents' ears.

Photo in my purse, Prince and I in prom :)

While eating, my mom suddenly pop up a question which took me more than 10 seconds to digest her question.. and I did not answer. "Eric your boyfriend, ah?"

I was stunned for a moment, don't know how to react. You see, since I was very young, my parents have this strict code that we (my siblings) are not allowed to date while we are studying. Having this rule embedded in our heads (or at least mine), I never tried to break this rule. Partly because it's already embedded in my head and partly because I was never interested in having a relationship.

So, okay, back to the dinner table. So my mom asked and I was quiet for a moment. Understanding this silent language, my dad asked in a slightly shocked tone, "Har? You got boyfriend ah?"

My mom then proudly announce that she saw it in Facebook. I sent killer glares to my sister.. She's the only one at home!! There's no way my brothers will be so kepo and show my mom. I did not approve my dad as friend (Lol. Secret revealed. Sorry, dad!) How else would my mom find out? Turned out, my sis did not log out from Facebook and while browsing my photos, she saw.

Eric and I, in Batu Ferringhi, Penang, early this year.

It's not that I didn't want my family to know about Eric. If I didn't want to, I wouldn't change my relationship status in Facebook. It's not that I didn't want my parents to know, it's just that having the 'No boyfriend' rule in my mind for decades, I was afraid of how they will respond to this. And another reason.. I was just too shy to be open about this matter. Lol.

How did my family members respond to this? Well, my mom seemed okay with it. My sis, she was one of the very first to know about this. My brother questioned about Eric a little and added, "Should ask him come down. Wanna interview him."

Dad did ask who Eric was. I said, "You don't know wan la.. He very low profile." Surprisingly, my dad knew who Eric was. He knew that he attended my birthday lunch. It's just that he didn't remember how Eric looked like. "Who is this Eric ah? Wanna give him a good lecture." Lol!

I was really really very shocked with my family, especially my parent's response. Never in my life I would ever thought I they will react in such a manner. It wasn't negative, I would say but yea, don't be too sure about it. And during this dinner, I found out my dad actually have very good sense of humour.

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!! *dies laughing* XD

So, well.. since my parents already know about Eric, I guess there's no more secrets ;)

P/s : How did Eric respond to this? "GG. I don't dare go Klang anymore." LOL.

Klang, The Land Of Bak Kut Teh!

While last weekend was Cameron Highlands, this weekend was where Guat Shan and I get to be the tour guides. Yes, we went to  Klang, the Land of Bak Kut Teh a.k.a. our hometown.

We drove back at about 4.30 p.m. on Friday evening and arrived in Klang at about 7 p.m.. Since we were in a rush, we grab a quick dinner in the famous among youngsters Esso/Chicken Mamak.

After dinner, we drove down to Setapak to meet up with the TD8 and then down to Ampang look-out point to celebrate Shiau Ping and Sardin's birthday. There were 38 people there, I don't even know who some were. Lol.

We wanted to have some tea in that place but the cafes close early. So instead, we went to Old Town. We didn't want to arrive home late so we left earlier.

While driving back home, i-city caught our attention. So, we turned in for a few shots.

Early next morning, we went Modern (mamak again) for breakfast. Rep, Hua, Eric, Justin Kang and Jing Wei ordered roti ayam and we sort of held a 'competition' to finish the food in 5 minutes. Surprisingly, Rep stuffed 2 pieces of roti ayam into his mouth in 30 seconds!!

We then took the 11 a.m. ferry to Pulau Ketam. We strolled around that area. Basically nothing much in Pulau Ketam but Guat Shan and I just wanted to show them the part of Klang that looked like a scene in Ice Kacang Puppy Love.

We left Pulau Ketam and then have lunch before dropping by Jusco Bukit Tinggi to get tickets for Karate Kid that night. After about an hour of lepak-ing, we went home to bathe and rest for a bit before driving down to Justin's hometown, Kuala Selangor for the famous fireflies.

Being Electronic Engineering students, they were self-debating if those blinking lights they saw were real fireflies or were actually LEDs. Lol. We went for seafood dinner after that. Again, we rushed. It was like the most 'kan cheong' dinner ever where they were standing and eating and ran off to washed their hands (we used our hands to eat crabs) even before they even started to chew their food. Silly as it may seem, we laughed like hell. Lol! Dinner was on Justin. Thank you so much Justin!!

As mentioned, we bought tickets for Karate Kid. It was a good movie, I would say. After the movie, we went back home and watch how England drew 1-1 with U.S.A.. Good job, Green ==

Next morning, we went for the long awaited bah kut teh breakfast.

We then celebrated Father's Day for my dad. I bet my parents enjoyed their company, especially my mom. Lol.

After the celebration, we went to Sunway Pyramid for skating before driving back to Kampar.

So, that was the 2-days short trip to my hometown. How was it? XD
