New Phone- Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc

I've always been a Sony Ericsson fan. I think they produce the best phone for me. Before this, I've experienced with some phones, from Sony Ericsson and non. I used to buy cheap phone with basic functions because I thought I don't need them. I just need to call and send messages. Now, I think I have a phone opposite to what I used to have. I own a phone with one of the best functions.

To start off with, this phone has a 8 mega pixel high definition camera. The qualilty of photos taken are, therefore impeccable. The lack of camera features is just a minor drawback since lots of photo/camera related applications can be easily downloaded to this Android 2.3 operating system.

An example of photo taken with the phone camera.

The 4.2" wide screen came in handy with this touch screen phone. Navigating through the applications, browsing the web and playing games are so easy. Although the screen is wide, this phones is not at all bulky. In fact, the Xperia Arc is one of the slimmest phone in the market today.

There are a lot specs I can write about but you can probably get them from the webs. I would certainly say for RM 1700, the Xperia Arc is no doubt, a fantastic phone. In fact, I honestly think this phone is comparable to an iPhone. Special thanks to my brother, whom got this phone for me :D

Oh yea, this update is fully performed using my new phone.

On my 21st birthday I got expensive gifts XD
A 50mm f/1.8D macro lens from my friends.

A gold necklace and pendant from my mama and papa.

A car from my parents.

And a set pretty cupcakes. They are photography-themed! Look at how adorable they were. I simply just can't put them in my mouth!

Well, I'm 21 now. Happy Adulthood to me!

New Member To The (Camera) Family

I started of with a nameless blue Canon Powershot A460 in 2007...

Then I got Cammie, my pink Olympus FE-320 in 2008..

I used Cammie for a year and a half then I got Nikcy, my Nikon D3000 DSLR during Chinese New Year 2010.

Today, I got myself a metallic pink Samsung PL101 dual screen camera! His name, well, Psam.

A conclusion you can make from here? I don't really like normal black or silver cameras. I like colours! ...Exception for my Nikcy. (P/s : That lame black one is my sister's.)

Yay! Finally!

I've been waiting for this day to come..

MY PRIMERS ARE FINALLY HERE! I CAN START ON MY FINAL YEAR PROJECT!!

I was back in Kampar for my final year project (FYP) since the 11th of October... only to be told that my primers (one of the 'ingredients', actually the main ingredient needed for my fyp) hasn't arrive yet.

Having no other choices, I waited...

And waited..

And 2 weeks later, my supervisor told me that the officers have just sent out the order list. WTH?!?!?

Thus, I waited again..

And waited..

And, finally, 1 month later, my primers have arrived!! Can't wait to start my fyp! :D

I might be saying this now.. I just hope I won't say the opposite when I get too busy or frustrated with my project.

P/s : Just in case you're curious about what my project is all about, I'll explain it.. in another post XD

Revelation

I'm back in Klang for my second brother. He'll be back for 3 weeks. Earlier during dinner, as we were eating, my brother saw a photo of Prince and I in my purse. Then, he took my purse and showed it to his girlfriend (Donna) and said, "See? Small kids.. Didn't date before. Put photo in purse all."

Then I quickly rebutted, "He's my housemate."

Okay, so my brother knew about it. He said to Donna, in a way to shoot me, "Lame la.. She has a boyfriend but she put picture of other guy in her purse."

Seeing the warning light blinking, I quickly changed the topic to something else, silently hoping the conversation was only between the three of us, and deaf to my parents' ears.

Photo in my purse, Prince and I in prom :)

While eating, my mom suddenly pop up a question which took me more than 10 seconds to digest her question.. and I did not answer. "Eric your boyfriend, ah?"

I was stunned for a moment, don't know how to react. You see, since I was very young, my parents have this strict code that we (my siblings) are not allowed to date while we are studying. Having this rule embedded in our heads (or at least mine), I never tried to break this rule. Partly because it's already embedded in my head and partly because I was never interested in having a relationship.

So, okay, back to the dinner table. So my mom asked and I was quiet for a moment. Understanding this silent language, my dad asked in a slightly shocked tone, "Har? You got boyfriend ah?"

My mom then proudly announce that she saw it in Facebook. I sent killer glares to my sister.. She's the only one at home!! There's no way my brothers will be so kepo and show my mom. I did not approve my dad as friend (Lol. Secret revealed. Sorry, dad!) How else would my mom find out? Turned out, my sis did not log out from Facebook and while browsing my photos, she saw.

Eric and I, in Batu Ferringhi, Penang, early this year.

It's not that I didn't want my family to know about Eric. If I didn't want to, I wouldn't change my relationship status in Facebook. It's not that I didn't want my parents to know, it's just that having the 'No boyfriend' rule in my mind for decades, I was afraid of how they will respond to this. And another reason.. I was just too shy to be open about this matter. Lol.

How did my family members respond to this? Well, my mom seemed okay with it. My sis, she was one of the very first to know about this. My brother questioned about Eric a little and added, "Should ask him come down. Wanna interview him."

Dad did ask who Eric was. I said, "You don't know wan la.. He very low profile." Surprisingly, my dad knew who Eric was. He knew that he attended my birthday lunch. It's just that he didn't remember how Eric looked like. "Who is this Eric ah? Wanna give him a good lecture." Lol!

I was really really very shocked with my family, especially my parent's response. Never in my life I would ever thought I they will react in such a manner. It wasn't negative, I would say but yea, don't be too sure about it. And during this dinner, I found out my dad actually have very good sense of humour.

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!! *dies laughing* XD

So, well.. since my parents already know about Eric, I guess there's no more secrets ;)

P/s : How did Eric respond to this? "GG. I don't dare go Klang anymore." LOL.

Gracias!

Many of you might already know that the connection over here in my Kampar house is terribly bad. Out of 48 hours, I, or rather, we could only get connected and go online for like 15 minutes or 20 minutes at most. Yea, that was how bad was. Was because just a couple of hours ago, Sardin came over to my place and brought his modem/router along. He replaced (yes, replace.. with no charges!) ours with his and ta-da! We could online smoothly now. THANKS SO MUCH, SARDIN!!! :D :D

Penang... This Time Mainland.

So for the third consecutive sem, I headed to Penang for our sem break trip, only this time, our focus was on mainland Penang rather than the island. This was a very budget trip as we had free accommodation (we stayed in friends' place). Guat Shan and I stayed over in Hua's house and we're very proud of it because according to him, this was the first time ever that he brought a friend (or rather, two friends) to his house, Eric and Beh stayed over in Rep's place and finally Sardin and J stayed over in Jing Wei's house, which was located in the island. However, the latter 2 shifted to Rep's place on Sunday night since Jing Wei had to work on Monday.

Rep, Hua and Jing Wei.. In that order from left.

It was a short 3 days 2 nights trip from the 15th to 17th. I came back home from Kampar on Tuesday and then I took the Saturday 1pm train back to Kampar to meet up with Guat Shan and the rest. I was back home earlier because my paper ended earlier. So, when I arrived at 3.30pm, Guat Shan took Sardin's car and picked me up at the Kampar station and we went for tea time before Dan Dan and Hua came and picked us up over at Sardin's place. In Dan Dan's car, Guat Shan and I made a lot of noise, as usual. Lol. I hope he wasn't distracted because of it.

We arrived at Hua's place in Kepala Batas approximately 2.5 hours later. His mom cooked us dinner! Thanks, auntie! :D The herbal soup was delicious! I also heard that Rep's mom cooked them spaghetti with mushroom soup. Must be as tasty!

After dinner, about 8.30pm, we were supposed to meet up with Rep, Beh and Eric in Rep's place but apparently, Rep took them to Sunway Carnival. We then met up in Auto City to have a little drink in Boston and watch FA Cup finals. BUT!! Guess what? I think it's a special case in Penang whereby they have ESPN but not Star Sports. So, we went to Pelita mamak stall to watch football. After football, we for a light stroll in Auto City and well, things happened and we went back after that. Lol. We were supposed to drop by Rep's place but since it was already late, we headed back home and decided to only visit Rep's place the next day. As usual, when there's Guat Shan and there's Eliza, we chatted till 3.30am before we forced ourselves to shut up and sleep.

Early next morning, we woke up at 8 am. Hua's mom bought breakfast (French toast-like bread with char siew pau fillings) for us. We ate then followed Hua's mom to morning market called Apollow. It was a long stretch of food, clothes, shoes, bags and everything and I managed to get myself a pair of Hawaii-looking shorts :D We then had our breakfast (again!).

We bathed, went to Rep's place to fetch the 3 of them and headed to Queensbay Mall to meet up with the other 3 in the island. Over there, we had our lunch in T-bowl and caught a movie, The Kidnapper. And oh my god! It was not my type of movie!

After Queensbay, the next destination was Ait Itam for their famous asam laksa. We ate in sweat and oh~ syok~! Well, to be truthful, I've never tried asam laksa, even in Klang (because I can't take spicy food) so I couldn't compare and comment when Rep asked me if it was nice.

After the sweaty meal, we went to Batu Ferringhi, where Eric felt paradise :D

3 hours and a lot of playful bickering between Johor and Klang (Lol! It was Eric and I debating about our own 'territory'), we took the ferry back to mainland, had our dinner and lepak-ed in Rep's place till it's time to go home. What we did? Well, what else? Cards!! XD

Day 3, the day we were supposed to head home. Woke up at 8.30 am and Hua took us for breakfast nearby his house. We then meet up with Bryan and Yuet Fen to give Edwin a surprise birthday celebration. We crashed Edwin's place for a good 1 hour before we went to Jusco Bukit Mertajam for a less-than-an-hour walk and then, to a place called 'Vietnam', I think, for lunch.

Headed back to Rep's place to buy some time. We planned to leave at 2.30pm or 3pm so that we would arrive in Kampar at 6pm, just nice for our train. While in Rep's place, they played cards again while Bryan and I had a good nice but short chat. At 2.30 pm, we left Penang.

Our lovely Sardin took the wrong turn and we headed towards Perlis instead of Perak. Lol. U-turned, obviously and arrived at Taiping to drop Beh and lepak-ed in his house for half an hour before resuming our journey back to Kampar. We arrived at Kampar close to 6 pm and Eric managed to get the train same time as Guat Shan's and mine. 2.5 hours to KL and we parted with Eric. At 10 pm, Guat Shan and I arrived in Klang, we makan-ed and went back home.

Well, this is the brief details on the trip. Of course, no matter how long I write, I can never describe exactly what we did. Though it was a short trip, we did endless stuff. It was good to be able to meet Edwin, Bryan and Yuet Fen and once again, it was proven (to me and Guat Shan, at least) that destination does not matter when going out with a group of friends. Thank you Dan Dan for fetching us, Hua for letting us crash your place for 3 days, Rep for bringing us around and everyone for making this trip memorable!

I'm on my 2 weeks sem break now :)

Short Trip To Bukit Merah And Taiping

Early Saturday morning, Orange walked to my house to wait for J to come pick us up. He passed me a recycle paper with Digital scribbles. On the other side, it was a rough schedule for our Bukit Merah + Taiping trip written in Ah Beh's handwriting.

Saturday, 17 April 2010.

10.00 : Reach Taiping. Meet in Changkat Jering. Breakfast.
11.30 - 12.00 : Go Bukit Merah
12.00 - 5.00 : Main (as in play)
5.00 - 6.00 : Back to apartment and rest.
7.00 : Dinner
8.00 - 10.00 : Football

Then it was written but after 10 p.m., but he verbally told us that we were supposed to have our free and easy time around the Lake Garden.

 Sunday, 18 April 2010.

10.00 : Breakfast- wan tan mee without wan tan
11.30 - 2.00 : Zoo
2.00 - 2.30 : Cendol
2.30 : Lake Garden
3.30 : Sepetang (for lunch)
4.30 : Mangrove forest

Well, everything went smoothly according to plan. On Saturday night, our free and easy time was watching 'Being Human' in Taiping Central and of course, like all other trips, there would be gambling sessions at night before bed. Lol.

Next day, we were 30 minutes behind schedule because some of us overslept but nonetheless, we managed to race against time and got back on schedule.

Again, we sailed through the planned schedule except that we did not went to the Lake Garden because it was drizzling. Instead, we went straight for our curry mee and laksa lunch in Sepetang and then to the Mangrove forest/swamp before dropping by Ah Beh's place for a short while and heading back to Kampar at about 6 p.m..

A total of about 800 pictures which weighs 4G aren't enough to describe the tonnes of joy and fun the 14 of us had.

Thanks a mil to Ah Beh, Orange and Guat Shan who I think put the most effort in this~!

P/s : Mummy, daddy and kayah, if you want to see more pictures, see them here: My Facebook Album
